WASHINGTON, D.C. 19 November 2013 – Jared Bomberg has joined the Washington D.C. office of Hogan Lovells as an associate. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, he served as Counsel at the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, where he provided strategic and legislative advice to Committee Members and staff on all legislation before the consumer affairs and competitiveness subcommittees.
Bomberg has significant experience with privacy and data security, unfair and deceptive practices, consumer product, automotive safety, and manufacturing issues.
During his tenure at the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, Bomberg oversaw several pieces of legislation into law including The Contaminated Drywall Safety Act of 2012 and the Travel Promotion Act of 2009. He also contributed to the passage of the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008, and the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.
Bomberg received a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 2013, where he was a Bryce Harlow Foundation Scholar, a M.S. from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2006, and a B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2004.
