PHILADELPHIA – November 28, 2012 – Cozen O’Connor, among the 100 largest U.S. law firms, announced today that Steven Haas, Vice Chair of the firm’s Corporate Practice Group, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (GPCC). Mr. Haas has also been appointed as advisory board chair to the Art & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia (ABC).
In addition to these appointments, Mr. Haas continues to serve on the Central Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of Settlement Music School, the largest community based arts and music school in the nation.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to serve on these Boards and to work with other dedicated individuals toward creating a positive impact on the greater Philadelphia business and arts communities,” said Mr. Haas.
The GPCC is dedicated to promoting the economic development of the region, representing members in 11 counties across three states.
The ABC seeks to strengthen Philadelphia’s creative sector, including arts, culture and for-profit creative businesses, by engaging the business, legal and technology communities, providing capacity-building services, and serving as a thought leader and a convener.
In addition to serving as Vice Chair of Cozen O’Connor’s Corporate Practice Group, Mr. Haas is a member of the firm’s Emerging Business & Venture Capital Practice Group, where he assists clients in acquisitions, mergers and corporate finance transactions, as well as in corporate aviation matters.
