January 2, 2013- McKool Smith is pleased to announce the promotion of eight attorneys to principals in the firm’s Austin, Dallas, Los Angeles, and New York offices, effective Jan. 1, 2013.
In Austin, Ramzi Khazen’s practice focuses on intellectual property and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Khazen has successfully represented clients through judgment in United States District Courts and the International Trade Commission.
In Dallas, Christopher Bovenkamp handles intellectual property litigation with an emphasis on patent litigation and trial work. Mr. Bovenkamp also has experience with trademark, trade dress, trade secret, and copyright litigation. New Dallas principal Steven Callahan litigates intellectual property and complex commercial cases, with a particular focus on patent infringement disputes. Jason Cassady handles intellectual property litigation and complex commercial matters. He has extensive federal trial experience, including matters involving secure computer networking; integrated circuits; video game controllers; oil and gas exploration; and computer operating systems.
In Los Angeles, Mieke Malmberg focuses on patent litigation. She represents both plaintiffs and defendants in disputes involving a wide range of technologies, including computer hardware and software, among others. Principal Marc Morris focuses on patent and trademark litigation involving a broad range of technologies. He has successfully prosecuted and defended clients in federal and state courts across the country.
In New York, John Briody handles complex commercial litigation, including securities, antitrust and patent litigation. Radu Lelutiu represents clients in commercial litigation, including patent, antitrust, securities, and bankruptcy disputes; and white collar defense matters.
