Attorney Stuart Nayman Joins Hand Baldachin

NEW YORK, January 17, 2013 – Hand Baldachin & Amburgey (HBA) announced today that corporate and securities lawyer Stuart Nayman has joined the firm as Partner. Mr. Nayman had been a partner at WilmerHale in New York since 2002, and before that he was an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets groups at Shearman & Sterling.
Mr. Nayman has extensive experience representing clients in the biotechnology and life sciences industries, as well as those operating in the technology, retail and apparel, financial services and transportation sectors. His practice focuses on private and public company counseling; mergers and acquisitions; venture capital and private equity transactions; and private and public securities offerings. He has completed more than 20 initial public offerings, as well as multiple follow-on equity offerings, registered direct offerings, PIPE transactions, convertible and non-convertible debt offerings, and liability management transactions.
Mr. Nayman, a Canadian, is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. He completed one year at the prestigious Canadian law firm Stikeman Elliott prior to moving to New York. Mr. Nayman is expected to bolster HBA’s Canada-US cross-border practice.

Mr. Nayman is admitted to practice in New York. He earned his JD from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction.
