NEWPORT BEACH, CA – One LLP, a Southern California law firm specializing in intellectual property and entertainment matters, announced the expansion of its entertainment transactional practice with the addition of four highly regarded attorneys:
Mark Fleischer – Formerly Executive Vice President of Entertainment Business Development at MGM Studios, a Partner at Manatt Phelps & Phillips, LLP, and Of Counsel to Venable LLP, Mr. Fleischer joins One LLP as a Partner. A seasoned transactional entertainment attorney and executive, Mr. Fleischer’s practice has focused on the motion picture/television transactional area representing both institutional and talent clients. He also currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Fleischer Studios, Inc., where he is responsible for managing family-owned rights assets, including Betty Boop, the animated character created by Mr. Fleischer’s grandfather, animation pioneer Max Fleischer.
Judd Funk – Previously Senior Executive Vice President at New Line Cinema, where he oversaw all of its business and legal affairs for 15 years, Mr. Funk joins One LLP as a partner. For seven years prior thereto, he served as Vice President of Legal Affairs at Universal Pictures. He began his entertainment legal career at Columbia Pictures, followed by four years at Fox and seven years as Vice President of Legal Affairs at Universal Pictures. Mr. Funk is a member of the Executive Branch of the Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences and has served as an attorney, business affairs executive or departmental head for over 300 Hollywood films, including The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Field of Dreams, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Elf, Wedding Crashers, Sex and the City, Austin Powers I, II & III and Lord of the Rings I, II & III.
Penelope Glass – The principal of Penelope Glass, a PLC, and prior to, a partner at a highly regarded Los Angeles entertainment firm, Ms. Glass joins One LLP as Of Counsel. Ms. Glass has more than three decades of experience as a business and legal affairs consultant in the entertainment industry. In addition, she has practical experience in producing capacities for independent feature motion pictures and television.
Adam W. Rosen – Previously the founder and managing partner of Rosen Feig & Golland LLP, Mr. Rosen joins One LLP as a Partner. He has practiced entertainment law for more than 20 years both in private practice and in-house, including serving as Senior Vice President of Business Affairs and General Counsel for RKO Pictures, Inc. and Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for Warner Bros. International Television Production.
The transactional entertainment practice of One LLP will be based in the newly established Beverly Hills office located at 9301 Wilshire Blvd., Penthouse Suite, Beverly Hills, CA 90210. This announcement comes on the heels of the firm’s 10th anniversary.

Mr. Fleischer has more than twenty five years’ experience in representing studios, independent production companies, and independent producers in single and slate motion picture finance, production legal activities, various forms of motion picture distribution arrangements, and rights acquisitions and management. Additionally, Mr. Fleischer has represented numerous actors, directors, writers, and producers in the structuring and negotiation of their agreements for their services with studios and other production entities, as well as talent agencies in their relationship with their clients. He currently serves as Vice Chairman for the Board of Directors of the Motion Picture and Television Fund and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Geffen Playhouse. Mr. Fleischer earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Law Center.
Mr. Funk has more than 30 years’ experience working as an attorney, business affairs executive and department head for over 300 films that have earned a total of nearly $12.3 billion in box office revenues. He began his career at Columbia Pictures as Production Counsel on such projects as Kramer vs. Kramer and went on to serve as Senior Counsel for Twentieth Century Fox. Mr. Funk later headed the legal department at Universal Pictures for seven years where he functioned as Universal’s legal overseer for all film projects. Mr. Funk serves on the faculty at Chapman University School of Law and Dodge College of Film and Media Art where he teaches courses in entertainment law, and is a member of the Executive Branch of the Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences. He received his Juris Doctor from The University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law.
Ms. Glass’s practice includes transactional representation of entertainment/media production companies in finance, production and distribution, employment, collective bargaining, talent and licensing agreements, with an emphasis in intellectual property matters, including copyright, rights of privacy and publicity and First Amendment issues. In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Glass has experience in motion pictures and television as an Executive/Co-Producer for several feature motion pictures. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law where she clerked for the renowned copyright, intellectual property and First Amendment expert Professor Melville B. Nimmer.
Mr. Rosen has practiced entertainment law for more than 20 years providing a range of transactional entertainment services, including representing writers, directors and actors, providing development and production legal services, structuring, negotiating and implementing foreign and domestic co-productions, film and television financing transactions and distribution and licensing arrangements. Mr. Rosen has represented numerous well-established entities in a variety of matters in the fields of entertainment, intellectual property, music and general business transactions. Prior to forming The Law Offices of Adam W. Rosen, Esq. and Rosen Feig & Golland LLP, Mr. Rosen served as Senior Vice President of Business Affairs and General Counsel for RKO Pictures, Inc., and before that as Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs for Warner Bros.
