WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 22, 2013 – Cozen O’Connor, among the 100 largest U.S. law firms, announced today that Dwayne Andrews has joined the New York office of Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies. Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies is a government relations firm with offices in Washington, New York, Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Wilmington.

Before joining Cozen O’Connor, Mr. Andrews was a principal in the New York and Washington, DC offices of Blank Rome Government Relations, LLC. He was named to the Top Lobbyists & Influencers list by OBABL (On Being A Black Lawyer) in 2012. Mr. Andrews previously served as the Vice President for Governmental Relations at Edison Schools, Inc., and spent five years working on Capitol Hill, including as a professional staff member for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Small Business. He also served as Press Secretary to Representative Floyd Flake (D-NY).

Mr. Andrews’ practice at Cozen O’Connor will focus on the areas of education, transportation, state and local government representation, and telecommunications and technology policy.
He is on the Board of Advisors of New York City Outward Bound and is an active member of the Washington Government Relations Group. Additionally, Mr. Andrews serves as the Legislative Director of the Metropolitan Black Bar Association of New York. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University in 2000 and his bachelor’s degree from York College in 1996.
