Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP Restructuring & Bankruptcy partner, Jason Z. Jones, was honored as "Pro Bono Bankruptcy Attorney of the Year" by the Dade County Bar Association (DCBA) & Dade Legal Aid's "Put Something Back" pro bono program. Mr. Jones received the award at the 24th Annual DCBA Recognition Luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Miami on April 30.
"As President of the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida (BBASDFL), Jason is a leader and a 'doer' - he accepts cases and staffs clinics and encourages colleagues to do the same," said Karen Josefsberg Ladis, Esq., Program Coordinator. "We are grateful to Jason, Bilzin Sumberg and the BBASDFL for always going above and beyond to continue supporting and participating in pro bono programs with 'Put Something Back,' the official pro bono program for our circuit."
Currently President of the BBASDFL, Mr. Jones has been involved with the organization for over five years, serving previously as its President-Elect, First Vice-President, Second Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Mr. Jones represents debtors, trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, and creditors committees in business and personal bankruptcy cases. He also has experience representing assignors and assignees in state law assignment for the benefit of creditors proceedings.
