WASHINGTON, D.C. (July 12, 2013) - Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing workplace law firms, is pleased to announce the addition of seven prominent workplace safety and health attorneys to the firm’s Washington, D.C. Region and Denver offices. Partners Henry Chajet, R. Brian Hendrix, Robert Horn, Mark Savit, Avidan Meyerstein and Donna Vetrano Pryor, all from Patton Boggs, and Partner Tressi Cordaro, formerly with Ogletree Deakins, add a wide range of expertise in occupational and mine safety and health as well as industrial crisis management to the firm, setting Jackson Lewis apart from other firms with workplace safety practices. The addition of this group of attorneys is the latest development in the firm’s continued success recruiting high-profile attorneys in various practice areas and geographic regions, including in five new offices opened in 2013.
“Lateral recruitment has been a critical component of our strategic growth plan over the past seven years, and we could not be prouder of our success in this area, most recently evidenced by our ability to attract this highly-esteemed group of Workplace Safety and Health attorneys,” said Firm Chairman Vincent A. Cino. “Jackson Lewis’ reputation in the field, geographic presence, and depth of expertise has enabled us to attract top talent across the country, opening 33 new offices and more than doubling our attorney headcount since 2006. Like other high-profile laterals who have recently joined the firm, we are confident this group will prove to be a wonderful fit.”
“We were well-aware of Jackson Lewis’ formidable reputation as a leading workplace law firm with a robust Workplace Safety and Health practice,” Mr. Chajet said. “We look forward to joining forces with the Group and drawing upon the firm’s vast resources and capabilities at the regional, national and global level to best serve our clients.”
“We had been searching for the right people to expand our group to include specialists in OSHA, MSHA and crisis management, and found the right match in this new team,” said Bradford T. Hammock, head of Jackson Lewis’ Workplace Safety and Health practice group, which he will co-chair with Mr. Chajet and Mr. Savit. “The new group of laterals includes key players in the field of workplace safety, and their experience defending investigations, litigating government-issued citations, performing safety and health training and audits, and representing clients on proposed rulemakings complement our current capabilities and needs perfectly. Along with the Patton Boggs group, Tressi Cordaro will also significantly enhance our ability to serve clients in a broad range of safety and health matters. Her previous experience with construction-related safety and health issues, in particular, will be a tremendous benefit to our clients in the construction industry.”
The firm’s most recent additions to its Workplace Safety and Health Group come on the heels of successful lateral initiatives that both expand the firm’s geographic footprint and subject-matter expertise. In 2013 alone, the firm opened new offices in Tampa, Florida, Grand Rapids, Michigan, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dayton, Ohio, and Rapid City, South Dakota, adding a number of top-rate lateral attorneys with a wide range of expertise.
