BOSTON, Sept. 16 -- The global law firm Jones Day has announced that Intellectual Property partner Warren Nachlis Ph.D. has relocated to the Boston Office. Formerly in the New York Office, Mr. Nachlis is co-leader of the Firm's global Licensing & Technology Transactions team.
"Warren is a well-known and extremely well regarded licensing and technology transactions attorney, and we are thrilled to have him leading that practice in Boston. Mr. Nachlis's practice includes a wide range of intellectual property-related matters, including licensing, joint ventures, joint development agreements, development and supply agreements, technology issues, and strategic intellectual property counseling. He also advises on intellectual property issues that arise in connection with larger corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, capital markets offerings, secured lending transactions, asset securitizations, and private equity investments.
Mr. Nachlis has experience in a broad spectrum of technology areas with particular emphasis in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, electronics, media, entertainment, and financial information industries. In addition, Mr. Nachlis's experience includes adversarial matters, and he has a strong technical background in polymers, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, and biology.
A graduate of New York University (J.D. 1997); University of Massachusetts, Amherst (Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering 1993); and Franklin & Marshall College (B.A. in Chemistry 1987; Phi Beta Kappa), Mr. Nachlis is named in The Legal 500 US, Intellectual Asset Management magazine's IAM Licensing 250, the IAM Patent 1000, and Euromoney's LMG Life Sciences as Life Sciences Star.
