WASHINGTON, DC, September 19, 2013 -- Stephen Weissman, a partner in Baker Botts’ Washington office and part of the firm's highly regarded Antitrust and Competition practice, has been named Deputy Director for the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition. He will join the FTC on October 7, 2013.
In this role, Weissman will work closely with Bureau Director, Deborah Feinstein, the FTC Commissioners, and others in the FTC, including in managing the antitrust review of mergers and acquisitions in various commercial sectors and in investigating other business practices affecting U.S. consumers.
The FTC’s Bureau of Competition enforces the nation's antitrust laws.
