CHICAGO, Illinois – February 18, 2014 – The Chicago law firm of Arnstein & Lehr LLP is proud to announce that James A. Hochman has joined the firm’s Real Estate Practice as a partner in the Chicago office.
James has extensive experience representing commercial real estate brokerage firms, landlords, tenants and commercial real estate investors, assisting in all phases of commercial and residential real estate.
He co-authored and sponsored the Illinois Commercial Real Estate Broker Lien Act, and several states have adopted similar statutes through his drafting and lobbying efforts.
James received the Inaugural Champion of the Industry Award in December 2004 from the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors for his contributions to the commercial real estate industry.
Prior to joining Arnstein & Lehr, James was a partner Coman & Anderson PC and previously operated a private law practice in Wheaton, Ill. He has been senior vice president and senior counsel to CB Richard Ellis for 22 years and has represented CB Richard Ellis in all aspects of the real estate services lines of business in 20 states.
James earned his JD from Boston University School of Law in 1977 and his BA from Brown University in 1971.
