NEW YORK – March 26, 2014 – Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP is pleased to announce the opening of an office in Seoul, Korea, our 23rd office worldwide and seventh in the Asia Pacific region. The office provides the firm with a local platform to represent Korean and international companies and financial institutions in one of the world's leading and dynamic business centers.
For more than 20 years, Skadden has represented Korean and international corporations, financial institutions and government entities in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, private equity, energy and infrastructure projects, and international disputes related to the region. These matters comprise a wide array of industries, including financial services and banking, energy and natural resources, technology, real estate, media and telecommunications, and consumer goods.

The Seoul office will be led by H. Young Shin, a native Korean speaker who previously was in the firm's New York office. Mr. Shin has more than 10 years of experience representing Korean clients across a wide range of industries on international transactions.
