LOS ANGELES, CA – Goldberg Lowenstein & Weatherwax LLP (GLW), a California litigation and transactional firm with focus on patent, antitrust and other business litigation, has added Carolyn Bostick and Jennifer Schwartz as Of Counsel to the Palo Alto office. As chair of GLW’s Corporate Transactions practice group, Ms. Bostick’s practice focuses on acquisitions, corporate work and commercial transactions, including technology licensing and labor law for small to medium-sized enterprises. Focusing her practice on employment and criminal defense law, Ms. Schwartz will take a leading role in GLW’s Employment practice group, in addition to helping building GLW’s Government Investigations and White Collar Defense group along with Kevin Rosenberg (who recently joined GLW from the US Attorneys’ Office).

Prior to joining GLW, Ms. Bostick served as Vice President and General Counsel of two public companies: Energy Recovery, Inc., an international clean tech company, and Trend Micro Inc., a global supplier of security software and cloud services based in Japan. She previously worked as an attorney at three esteemed law firms, including Shearman & Sterling, Brown & Bain, and Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe. Ms. Bostick earned her Bachelors Degree with honors from Brown University and her Juris Doctorate from Stanford Law School.
Ms. Schwartz has significant trial experience, having served as a prosecutor for the Alameda County District Attorney’s office and abroad, as an Assistant Attorney General for the Republic Of Palau, where she was responsible for criminal matters. She has served on the criminal trial panel for the Northern District of the State of California, the First District Appellate Panel as well as the Marin County Alternate Defenders Panel. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Yale University and her Juris Doctorate from New York University.
