Jackson Lewis Adds Shareholder

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (April 21, 2014)  Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the largest workplace law firms in the world representing management, is pleased to announce Scott J. Preston has joined the firm’s Indianapolis office as Shareholder.  Mr. Preston, who joins the firm from Littler Mendelson, has significant experience advising management on all facets of labor and employment matters.

Mr. Preston regularly represents clients before state and federal courts and administrative agencies in all aspects of workplace law, including complex civil litigation and appeals.  In addition, he provides employers with litigation avoidance training as well as strategic advice and counsel. 

A regular speaker on a variety of employment law topics, Mr. Preston will be presenting at the American Institute of Architects’ national convention this summer on Dealing with Toxic Employees and Mitigating Risk Before it Damages Your Reputation as well as the National Association for Athletic Compliance’s national convention on Whistleblowing and Retaliation Inside Collegiate Athletic Departments.  He will also be presenting Auditing the Practices and Procedures of the Human Resources Department at the Institute of International Auditors Regional Conference in Indianapolis.

Mr. Preston, who has been selected for inclusion in Indiana Super Lawyers since 2012, is Co-Chair Elect of the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Sports & Entertainment Section and Executive Committee.  He also serves as President of the Williams Creek Town Council in Indianapolis.

Mr. Preston received his B.S. from the University of Nebraska and his J.D. from the Creighton University School of Law.
