MILWAUKEE, WIS. (June 30, 2014) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced today that the American Bar Association (ABA) Death Penalty Representation Project has selected Quarles & Brady for the Exceptional Service Award. The firm will be honored with this award on September 11 during the 2014 Volunteer Recognition & Awards Event in Washington, D.C.
The Exceptional Service Award is given to law firms selected by their colleagues for going above and beyond in the service of death row prisoners. These efforts are in line with the ABA Death Penalty Representation Project’s mission, which strives to increase the quality and availability of legal representation for this population of inmates.
Quarles & Brady has been representing prisoners on death row for 32 years, and currently has three clients facing the death penalty.
