Litigator Brent Silverman Joins Kaufman & Co.

CLEVELAND, OH – National trial and litigation law firm Kaufman & Company, PLLC welcomes litigator Brent S. Silverman to the firm’s eight-lawyer Ohio office as a Member. With more than 20 years’ experience, Mr. Silverman focuses his practice on high stakes business litigation matters including, commercial litigation, class actions, bankruptcy court adversary proceedings, shareholder disputes, business tort liability, unfair competition and professional liability. He also provides legal counsel to clients regarding compliance with federal employment laws, employee discipline and termination issues, non-compete agreements, social media and electronic communications policies, and document retention policies.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Silverman was a member of a large, Cleveland-based, full service regional law firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice and Co-Chairman of its Financial Professional Liability Group.

Mr. Silverman served on the American Diabetes Association Community Leadership Board and is a member of the Litigation Counsel of America, the William K. Thomas American Inn of Court, and the Defense Research Institute, Commercial Litigation Section.

Mr. Silverman has been recognized on the list of Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Stars, and is AV-Rated by Martindale Hubbell. He is also regularly speaks and authors articles on various business litigation topics.

He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Miami University, Ohio and his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law, where he served as a member of the DePaul University Business Law Journal.
