New York, October 10, 2014 – Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP announced today that Christine Willgoos has joined the firm’s intellectual property practice as special counsel. Ms. Willgoos has extensive experience litigating complex patent matters for clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. She was previously counsel at Paul Hastings.
“Christine has a deep understanding of biochemistry and molecular biology that has helped her achieve many impressive patent litigation wins for her pharmaceutical and biotech clients,” said Peter A. Ms. Willgoos leads trial and appellate teams in Hatch-Waxman and biologic drug litigations concerning blockbuster drugs. She is experienced in cases involving pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, molecular and cellular biology, and drug development, including humanized antibody technology, recombinant DNA vectors, and antidepressant and dermatologic drugs.
She has significant courtroom experience handling trials, preliminary injunctions, oral arguments, Markman hearings, and direct and cross examination of witnesses. In addition to litigation, she counsels clients in business and legal matters relating to patent portfolios, including antitrust, patent prosecution, life-cycle management and regulatory issues.

Ms.Willgoos earned her J.D cum laude from the Boston University School of Law; she was awarded her Master of Forensic Science in Forensic Molecular Biology from The George Washington University and her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from State University of New York College at Geneseo.
