San Francisco, 1 April 2015 – Hogan Lovells announced today that Jason D. Lohr has joined its Intellectual Property, Media, and Technology practice (IPMT) as a partner in its San Francisco office.
 
Lohr counsels established and emerging companies on a variety of patent, trademark and other intellectual property issues. His practice focuses on patent counseling and portfolio management, prosecution and post-grant proceedings, licensing and other transactions, due diligence, clearance investigations, and litigation support.  His technology experience includes computer hardware, software, Internet and database applications, computer graphics, animation, and cloud computing.
 
“Jason’s strong technology and patent prosecution background will benefit our clients in Northern California and nationally,” said Celine Crowson, head of the Americas IPMT practice of Hogan Lovells. “He possesses a powerful combination of deep technology and IP experience plus a growth outlook on technology transactions and non-IP transactional matters.”
 
Lohr joins Hogan Lovells from Novak Druce Connolly Bove & Quigg LLP.
 
With a career spanning the last 15 years, he has worked as a software engineer developing databases, industrial controls and monitoring, and Internet applications. Additionally, he conducted materials research and software development as an analytical scientist.

Lohr is admitted to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Northern District Court of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals in the Federal Circuit and 9th Circuit. He is also a member of a variety of legal associations such as the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the California Bar Association, the Computer Law Association, and the Bar Association of San Francisco.
 
Lohr earned his B.S. and M.S. in Physics from the University of Akron; M.B.A. from the University of Oxford, Hertford College, Säid Business School; and J.D. from Capital University Law School.
