Latham & Watkins Adds Noted Patent Litigator

October 13 ,2015, Boston…Latham & Watkins LLP¹ is pleased to announce that Charles Sanders has joined the firm’s Boston office as a partner in the Litigation Department. Sanders brings market-leading, first chair intellectual property litigation experience to the firm’s Boston office. 

Latham’s Boston office consists of two locations in the Boston area – in the iconic John Hancock Tower in the Back Bay and in Waltham along the Route 128 technology corridor. The office boasts 50 lawyers who counsel clients ranging from emerging companies to multinational corporations in some of their biggest strategic deals and most complex litigation.

Sanders’ practice focuses on patent litigation. He has led numerous litigations as a first chair in federal district courts and the US International Trade Commission (ITC). With a background in chemistry and physics, Sanders has represented clients in a variety of technologies and industries in the ITC and courts across the country. He has obtained summary judgment and trial victories, ITC exclusion orders and multi-million dollar settlements.

Sanders joins from Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston. He received his B.S. in chemistry and physics and his law degree from Harvard, both magna cum laude.
