Rosevelie Márquez Morales Joins Sidley Austin

Sidley announced today that Rosevelie Márquez Morales has joined the firm as its East Coast Diversity Director. Ms. Márquez Morales is currently a co-chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Diversity and Inclusion, chair of the Defense Research Institute’s Diversity Committee, and general counsel of the Hispanic National Bar Association. She is also the president of the Sonia and Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program and past president of the Puerto Rican Bar Association, among many other leadership roles.

Ms. Márquez Morales was formerly a litigation partner with Harris Beach LLC. She has been recognized throughout her career with many professional awards, most recently the 2015 Fordham Law Alumni Association Rising Star in Private Practice Award and the 2014 Leadership and Public Service Award from the New York Police Department’s Hispanic Society, New York Dominican Officers’ Association and National Latino Officers’ Association of America.
