WASHINGTON, D.C., July 6, 2016 — Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP is pleased to announce that Andrew Brady has rejoined the firm's corporate practice as of counsel in the Washington, D.C. office.
A former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) official, Mr. Brady provides regulatory, corporate, corporate governance and complex transactional advice. He advises companies, underwriters and financial advisors in a wide variety of corporate finance and business combination transactions and evolving disclosure best practices, providing guidance on issues arising under the Securities Act of 1933, Securities Exchange Act of 1934, Trust Indenture Act of 1939, Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, and Dodd-Frank and JOBS acts.
Rejoining the firm from another major law firm, Mr. Brady previously served as special counsel in the SEC's Office of Chief Counsel of the Division of Corporation Finance, where he provided interpretative advice and guidance and assisted in rulemaking initiatives. As attorney-adviser in the SEC's Division of Corporation Finance, he reviewed registration statements and filings under the Securities Act, Exchange Act and Trust Indenture Act. He also was the primary adviser to the chief administrative law judge in the SEC's Office of Administrative Law Judges.
