LOS ANGELES, (MARCH 27, 2024) – In joining Saul Ewing as a new partner, Zev Shechtman brings 15 years of experience representing clients in complex business bankruptcy, restructuring and insolvency matters in and out of court. He is resident in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
Mr. Shechtman’s experience includes representing debtors in regular chapter 11 and subchapter V bankruptcy reorganization cases, assisting debtors in settlement negotiations, and counseling regarding insolvency concerns. He also represents creditors, trustees, buyers of distressed assets, equity holders and contract parties in bankruptcy.

Mr. Shechtman’s work on restructuring and insolvency matters includes representations of assignees and assignors in assignments for the benefit of creditors, as well as court-appointed fiduciaries.
He also regularly collaborates with professional teams requiring guidance on restructuring and bankruptcy law in the course of corporate transactions or litigation.

Mr. Shechtman earned his J.D. from University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. He also has an M.A. from New York University and a B.A. from University of California, Santa Cruz.
