Bryan Cave Adds Real Estate Attorney

September 12, 2012 - The international law firm Bryan Cave LLP announced today that Mal Serure has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner. He will practice within the Real Estate Group.

Serure has more than a decade of experience representing private equity funds, banks, real estate companies, real estate investment trusts and other clients across a broad range of real estate matters. He represents sellers and purchasers in the purchase, sale, sale-leaseback and financing of commercial properties across asset classes, including office, retail, hotel, gaming and health care in both domestic and international transactions. He also regularly advises lenders and borrowers in mortgage and mezzanine loan financing transactions and on the purchase, workout and restructuring of troubled loans, including negotiations with co-lenders, participants, servicers and special servicers.

Serure will add further depth to Bryan Cave’s growing Real Estate Private Equity and Joint Venture Team, a coordinated, multidisciplinary group with capacities in real estate, corporate, tax, ERISA and other related legal specialties. The team represents private equity funds, developers and other market players in structuring and negotiating complex joint ventures, mezzanine loans, credit facilities, preferred equity, company acquisitions and other transactions related to real estate projects around the world.

Serure is recognized as a 2011 New York Super Lawyer “Rising Star” for his work in real estate. He received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000 and his B.S. from New York University in 1997.
