April 25, 2013, Chicago… Latham & Watkins LLP1 is pleased to announce the arrival of Nabil Sabki to the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the Corporate Department. Sabki’s practice focuses on representing a wide variety of financial services companies and private funds, including private equity and hedge fund clients. Sabki has an abundance of knowledge and experience with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940.
Sabki has represented numerous registered investment advisers in connection with ongoing regulatory and compliance matters, and frequently advises clients with respect to Securities and Exchange Commission and self-regulatory organization inquiries and inspections. He has formed and represented various private funds and their sponsors, including both domestic and offshore hedge funds. Additionally, Sabki has extensive experience advising clients in connection with complex financial services related transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private securities offerings.

Sabki joins Latham & Watkins from Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago. He received his law degree from The University of Minnesota Law School in 1999, where he graduated cum laude. He received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan in 1996.
