Los Angeles – January 8, 2014 — Dykema, a leading national law firm, announces that Jeffrey Huron and Sam Miller have joined the firm in Los Angeles. Huron joins as a member of the Litigation department and comes to Dykema from Huron Law Group. Previously a solo practitioner, Miller joins as senior counsel in the Corporate Finance practice.
Jeffrey Huron
Huron’s practice focuses on business, real estate and entertainment litigation as well as civil appeals. Huron has 25 years of litigation experience and has won numerous high-stakes trials, arbitrations and appeals, including verdicts for $7.2 million and $10.5 million. Law & Politics has named Huron a Southern California Super Lawyer in Business Litigation for the past five years, and Martindale-Hubbell has given Huron its highest AV Preeminent rating since 1997.
Huron has written several published legal articles, including an antitrust article cited by the U.S. Supreme Court. He earned a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he served as Note Editor of the Pacific Law Journal. He received a B.A. in History and Political Science from Marquette University.
Sam Miller
Miller focuses his practice on commercial and corporate transactional work with a specific emphasis on multi-state and international/cross border commercial and corporate matters, ranging from investment and joint venture agreements to distribution and licensing arrangements. Earlier in his career, he served as lead in-house counsel for Kloeckner Metals, a major North American metals distributor, where he advised on a range of multi-million dollar agreements. Prior to that, Sam practiced for a number of years as an M&A specialist in a leading City of London firm.
Miller is licensed to practice law in California, England and Wales, and in South Africa. He earned his Master of Laws in International Commercial Law, cum laude, from the University of Nottingham, England.
